About the Collaboration

Arts education is important to teach children to think outside the box, yet arts education is not being offered as much as it once was. LIFEWTR collaborated with Scholastic to support 10 million students across the US through school and community beautification projects and fund arts education programming.

We participated in this initiative at Florida City Elementary public school in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Students were surprised upon their return from winter break with a transformation of the school’s exterior walls. We created a mural reflecting the beauty and roadblocks of life as an obstacle course. The students interpreted the work as slither.io a game synonymous with my concept which was relatable and validating.
